SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern 2025
Candidates preparing for the Constable Exam must understand how the SSC GD Syllabus and examination structure are designed.
- The CBT is offered in multiple dialects, which include English and Hindi, as well as 13 other regional tongues such as Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
- There are a total of 80 questions in the GD exam, divided into four sections.
- Answer Format: Multiple choice questions.
- The exam must be completed within 60 minutes.
- Each correct answer earns candidates 2 marks, while every incorrect answer incurs a penalty of 0.25 marks. Candidates are required to finish the exam in 1 hour.

SSC GD Recruitment – Physical Efficiency Test
After completing the written exam, each candidate must sit for the physical efficiency test (PET). Candidacy is automatically forfeited if a candidate fails to clear the PET examination.

Medical Exam for SSC GD
All candidates will be invited for the Medical examination following the completion of the physical standard and efficiency tests (PET/PST). The medical standard is given below in the table.
