1. General Intelligence and Reasoning of SSC GD Syllabus 2025
Your capacity to analyze and your skill to identify trends and patterns will be checked under the reasoning part through mostly non-verbal questions. This part has 20 questions, of which the total marks are 40. Refer to the sub-section below for details of SSC GD reasoning syllabus.

SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern 2025
Candidates preparing for the Constable Exam must understand how the SSC GD Syllabus and examination structure are designed.
- The CBT is offered in multiple dialects, which include English and Hindi, as well as 13 other regional tongues such as Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
- There are a total of 80 questions in the GD exam, divided into four sections.
- Answer Format: Multiple choice questions.
- The exam must be completed within 60 minutes.
- Each correct answer earns candidates 2 marks, while every incorrect answer incurs a penalty of 0.25 marks. Candidates are required to finish the exam in 1 hour.
Understanding the exam pattern is essential for efficient time management. The SSC GD 2025 exam will be conducted in computer-based mode (CBT) and will consist of 80 questions for a total of 160 marks.

SSC GD Recruitment – Physical Efficiency Test
After completing the written exam, each candidate must sit for the physical efficiency test (PET). Candidacy is automatically forfeited if a candidate fails to clear the PET examination.

SSC GD Constable Physical Standard Test
Those who pass the written examination will also sit for the physical standard test (PST) alongside the PET examination. Failure to qualify for the PST will automatically lead to disqualification of candidature.

- The male candidates’ standard for chest measurement is:

- Minimum expansion: 5 cm

Medical Exam for SSC GD
All candidates will be invited for the Medical examination following the completion of the physical standard and efficiency tests (PET/PST). The medical standard is given below in the table. If after the medical exam you are declared unfit you will have one additional opportunity to make yourself medically fit.
