Marital Status
Only bachelors (both males and females) are eligible to seek application. Female candidates must also undertake not to remain pregnant during the engagement period. An Agniveervayu who gets married during an engagement period of four years gets discharged from service.

Educational Qualification
For Science Subject
- 10 + 2 Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics, and English having at least 50% marks. and 50% Marks in English (or)
- 3 Year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) with 50% Marks and a minimum of 50% Marks in English in the Diploma Course (or)
- Candidates with a 2-year Vocation Course with Non-Vocational Subjects in Physics and Math from Any recognized Board with 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Other Than Science Subject

Medical Standards
Hearing: Normal hearing ability, that is, can hear a forced whisper from 6 meters.
Vision: 6/12 in each eye, correctable to 6/6.
Body Tattoos: Permanent tattoos are unacceptable, but tattoos on the inner forearms and tribal tattoos on specific areas can be allowed.
Indian Air Force Agniveer Recruitment: Selection Process
The Indian Air Force conducts the recruitment process for the Indian Air Force Agniveer 2025 to recruit young candidates for the defense services. The selection process for Agniveervayu Intake 01/2026 consists of three phases:
Phase-I: Online Test
The first phase is an online written test divided into two sections. Candidates choosing science subjects will have 60 minutes to complete the exam, whereas candidates applying under the category other than science subjects will have 45 minutes. Both categories will be given 85 minutes for the entire test. The marking scheme is as follows: +1 for each correct answer and -0.25 for incorrect answers.
Phase-II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
After clearing the written test, the candidates will be allowed to participate in Phase II, which consists of running 1.6 km. Male candidates must complete the running in 7 minutes, and females have 8 minutes. Besides running, other exercises like push-ups, sit-ups, and squats are also conducted to measure the physical fitness of candidates. In order to qualify for the physical fitness test, the candidate has to perform 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, and 20 squats within the time frame specified.
Phase III: Medical Examination
A candidate who qualifies for the Physical Fitness Test has to undergo a medical examination carried out by the IAF Medical Team as per the Indian Air Force’s laid-down medical standards. This phase will ensure the candidates have the required health requirements for the service.
Adaptability Tests I & II
In these final tests, candidates are evaluated for their adaptability to IAF operations and the military lifestyle. These tests assess how well candidates can cope with the rigorous demands and challenges of serving in the Indian Air Force.
Indian Airforce Agniveer Recruitment 2025: Exam Pattern
The Airmen Science group comprises three subjects: English, mathematics, and physics. The total number of questions in the exam is 70, including 20 from English, 25 from Mathematics, and 25 from Physics. Science Subjects. The total time for the online test shall be 60 minutes and comprise English, Physics, and Mathematics as per the 10+2 CBSE syllabus.
Other Than Science Subjects. The total duration of the online test will be 45 minutes, except for science subjects. It will include English as per the syllabus of 10+2 CBSE and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
Science Subjects & Other Than Science Subjects. The total time of the online test shall be 85 minutes and comprises English, Physics, and Mathematics based on the 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
Indian Air Force Agniveer Vayu Recruitment: Job Benefits
